The Gameboy Advance was originally introduced in 2000 as the next iteration of Nintendo's popular Gameboy line. It was released to the gaming crowd on March 21 (Japan), June 11 (US) and June 22 (Europe), 2001.
Despite its relative age, the Gameboy Advance has clearly been a popular handheld console. Since its release and as of 2006, 75.13 million units have been sold.
